The pictures of the lastest star-studded Burberry Prorsum fall 2012 show yesterday in London have something of a “fairy-tale” quality to them…The line of models walking with umbrellas and snow flakes falling, the evocative melancholy of rain, the pretty bows, the boots, the deep automnal tones, all this makes me think of a fantasy London, its beautiful…

Je viens de découvrir avec bonheur la collection d’Alexandra Margnat. La créatrice parisienne s’inspire et interprête les perles de rocaille, et propose des créations d’un gout très sûr, rafinées, toutes en couleurs subtilement mariées, au gout d’enfance… Tous les bijoux sont montés à la main et fabriqués en petites séries. Ils se déclinent autour de bracelets, boucles doreilles délicates, colliers ras de cou , sautoirs légers et bagues fines.

Les collections d’ Alexandra Margnat sont proposées dans de nombreux points de vente en France et à l’étranger et notamment à paris au Bon Marché, Franck&Fils, Baby Buddha, Merci…

Exhibition not to miss : Baroque painters are the stars of the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam

And now a little bit of culture…I would highly recommend the beautiful exhibition dedicated to the Flemish great masters in the Amsterdam Hermitage Museum. The “Baroque” artists are the stars of this retrospective, featuring great pieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, Jacob Jordaens, Frans Snyders to name a few, plus another joint exhibition highlighting the works by young Flemish artists from 21st century.

Enjoying a huge success, the Flemish Painters exhibition is extended to the 15th of june 2012. A good opportunity to spend a day or two in Amsterdam, strolling about the city other museums ( Rijksmuseum, Rembrandt House, Van Gogh museum…), the canals, the shopping ( Oud Zuid quarter), the lovely hotels ( Lloyd hotel…). Scottish born designer Jonathan Saunders has unveiled a mesmerizing spring 2012 collection. Graduated from St Martin school in 2002, Saunders has developed a trademark in the use of traditional silk screening techniques and has collaborated recently with high street chains such as Topshop or Target. His spring collection is all about perfectly cut fifties inspired dress, sorbet colored fabric, very fresh and definitly feminine!
