A Carribean escape: Anacaona hotel in Anguilla

Pink sand and cystal clear waters, mesmerizing sunsets and divine cocktails, this is what Anguilla looks like: a foretaste of paradise … A few months ago I spent a short week there. Situated in the West Indies, not far from St Barth or St Martin, Anguilla can boast  some of the finest beaches in the Caribbean…
This small island (only 91 km sq ) is the perfect retreat if all you need is rest and sunshine…here there is no mass tourism, just a handful of carefully chosen hotels, from luxurious 5 stars ( Viceroy, Cap Juluca…) to Combos…I chose the 4 star Anacaona hotel, which is certainly the best deal in the island : a lovely boutique hotel which has re-opened last year. Anacaona has 20 rooms and suites, a really nice restaurant with offers divine caribbean cuisine, and Meads Bay beach is just a 2 minutes walk from the hotel!

This is the best of understated and affordable luxury in Anguilla, and the staff is adorable, prices start from 150 $/night.

All I want now is to go back to this beautiful island and to discover more !
