Genesis by Sebastao Salgado, an exhibition not to be missed

If you are in London this spring, do stop by the marvelous Natural History Museum to see Sebastao Salgado exhibition”the Genesis Project”. This itinerary project – exhibitions to be held around the globe, and from September 25th 2013 La Maison Européene de la Photographie in Paris – is the result of an epic 8 years expedition led by photographer Sebastao Salgado. Born in Brazil, nature lover Salgado has dedicated almost a decade and over 30 trips – by foot, light aircraft, seagoing vessels, canoes, and even balloons, through extreme heat and cold and in sometimes dangerous conditions – to create an incredible collection of images in black and white depicting the Earth in all its beauty ( animals, vegetals, indigenous peoples…).  The choice of black and white, to my opinion, brings majesty and an “eternal” feel to the pictures. The exhibition catalogue is also a must for all photo lovers with more than 500 pages, edited by Taschen.
