At home with Tory Burch

Tory Burch is at the head of a blossoming retail empire. Her preppy, colourful and allurous designs are instantly recognizable and her signature ballet flats are on every fashionista’s feet all over the world. The talented designer can boast some of the chicest homes in the fashion business. Home interiors and architecture have always been a passion for her and a central element of her brand concept development as she explains « An element of home has inspired all of my collections. And after all, I was working on the apartment when I did the first one—so the feeling of being comfortable in that environment kept coming back to me as something I very much wanted to share with the women who visited our stores. You know…Bring your children, let them roll on the sofa. You may be shopping, but why shouldn’t you feel as comfortable as you feel at home? » This marketing philosophy  is somehwat reminscent of that of Ralph Lauren’s, where Burch used to work as a PR…

I love the elegant mix of colours, especially the blues and green, the checked floors and the chinese porcelain and the classical neo-Georgian inspiration…
