Valentino spring 2015 couture show

A Romantic, Pre-raphaelite, look was the word for the Valentino’s couture show yesterday in Paris.

The models were given a Ophelia-type aura by makeup artist Pat McGrath, with flushed cheeks and messy, twisted tresses dotted with tiny flowers by hair artist Guido Palau. The collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli was mainly inspired by poets and artists such as Dante and Marc Chagall, the latter inspired the collection its Russia aesthetics, from the naive embroideries of country girls to the dramatic long velvet evening gowns, reminiscent of the Tsars.
